A Big (and Exciting) Shift for CTC

Published on 29 April 2026 at 16:20

To my dear clients,

It has been an absolute privilege working with you and your dogs over the past year and a half. Watching your progress, your commitment, and the relationships you’ve built with your dogs is the reason I do this work.

I want to share an important update about the future of Canine Training Collective.

CTC is officially partnering with Connected Canine.

This is a big step forward—and one that allows me to expand support, build a stronger team around you, and create more consistency in services moving forward.

Here’s what this means for you:

HomeBase Clients
May will be the final month of the current HomeBase program under CTC. All scheduled sessions will be fully completed by the end of May. Moving forward, HomeBase will continue under the Connected Canine structure.

Private Training Clients
All existing packages will be honored and completed. You will still be able to work with me, with services gradually transitioning under the Connected Canine brand.

I will also be personally reaching out over the next couple of days to all clients with active packages to ensure we have a clear plan for completing your sessions.

Group Classes & Community Events
These will be returning—and expanding—under Connected Canine. More structure, more opportunities, and more support.

Why this shift?

Short version: growth done right.

This partnership allows me to step into a Director of Training & Operations role, which means:

  • More support for you and your dog
  • A stronger team of trainers
  • Better systems and consistency across the board

And behind the scenes, it gives me the space to build something I’ve been working toward for a long time…

CTC will be evolving into a dedicated Dog Trainer Apprenticeship & Education Program—focused on developing the next generation of trainers with real-world, pressure-tested experience.

This isn’t an ending—it’s a build.

You’re not being handed off. You’re being supported at a higher level.

And I’m still right here—just with more structure, more backing, and a bigger vision in motion.

If you have any questions about how this affects your specific program, don’t hesitate to reach out.

I’m genuinely excited for what this next phase brings—for you, your dog, and everything we’re building together.

—Blake
